LONDON (SHARECAST) - The technology industry will be focused on San Francisco in the coming days, where Google will meet with developers from all over the world in its developers conference from June 27-29th.

Google will present new features and gadgets in the Moscone Center; most attention will be in the company's response to recent products introduced by Apple and Microsoft.

As such, Google is expected to present a $199 Google tablet developed with Taiwan's Asustek Computer in order to compete with Apple's iPad, Bloomberg has reported, citing two people familiar with the matter.

Rumours about this presentation have appeared on tech blogs in recent weeks.

The tablet will run on the Android operating system but will have new functions, according to one of the sources consulted by Bloomberg.
