The New Horizon club is made up of a Christian youth group from the New Wine Church in Nottingham, who range in age from 15 to 23 years old, with an average age of 18.

Made up of graduates and students, they like “going against the grain” when it comes to investing and planning for the future.

From an arts and craft background, Julie never considered herself to have a head for investing, until she was introduced to it 13 years ago by a friend, when they started the Willow Investment Club – one of the first ethical investment clubs.

Now passionate about investing, she regularly speaks at events and has been instrumental in the creation of four all-female investment clubs in London.

She has regularly featured in the press about investing, and is now launching a unique business venture to help novice investors get started.

This Essex club enjoys their fine pub dining so much that they’ve been catching up once a month for well over 12 years now.

The club has evolved into a long term investment vehicle, and has also fostered the birth of four other clubs in the area. They’ve ridden out some nasty bumps in the stock market and are still going strong after over a decade together.
