Investment clubs are very fun and sociable and more and more everyone wants a piece of the action. Established clubs are looking to invigorate their ranks with new members, new ideas and new money. Private investors or stock market beginners are looking for clubs to join so they too can access the power to learn and earn. Individuals across the UK are trying to find each other to set up their own brand new club and benefit from varying backgrounds, experience and expertise.
If you are looking for a club, a new member or some like-minded investors to start your own club, drop a note to our match-making team with your postcode and contact details and we’ll add your information to our 'lonely hearts' section below.
In the meantime, make sure you get your hands on a copy of the ProShare Investment Clubs Manual so that when you find true love you’ll be prepared to jump in with both feet.
Looking for: We are just starting up and looking for new members; no experience needed, only an interest in the stock market. The aim is as much to be able to swap ideas as to run a portfolio. The focus is UK equities of all sizes, but we don't want to neglect other asset types and global influences.
Postcode: Base is Ludlow, but open to anyone from W Midlands or Welsh Marches
Looking for: The Bath Heritage Investment Club, founded in 1998, and currently with a membership of 6 (ages mid 50's and up) would be interested to hear from potential new members living within 40 minutes of the centre of Bath, or other small clubs nearby that are thinking of amalgamating. Established in 1997 we meet in Wokingham for a morning meeting and pub lunch every 2nd Tuesday of the month (when all decisions are made), plus other occasional get-togethers. Our aim, beyond the social aspect, is to allow us to try riskier stock market investments than we would go for as individuals. We have men and women, some couples, some chartists, some value investors. Currently 14 strong we would like to meet one or two potential new members who might contribute positively to our deliberations. There is a modest joining fee plus a regular subscription of £25/month by standing order.

Black Monday Investment Club
We are London based for meetings however we have members living in South East, Midlands and one person in Australia. We are work friends or family and have added numbers over the years. Around 8 of us are active over e-mail and phone. Between 4 and 6 of us meet every 5 or 6 weeks in a pub in the City. Our latest member joined last year, via the Proshare website. As chairman I am frustrated that only 2 or 3 of us make any investment suggestions or kick off discussions. Therefore I am especially keen for members who want to take part in making suggestions, debates and decision making. Please contact Kirit if you are interested and want more details.
The Cock Inn Investment Club is named after its meeting place in Henbury.
We have held our monthly meetings in this friendly hostelry since November 1986. We are currently seeking new members, preferably living within 15 miles of Macclesfield. Experience is not essential as we all remember what it was like to ascend the investment learning curve. Members back their hunches with new technology on meeting nights since we justify our choice of shares by downloading the closing prices and looking at other data on the companies in which we hold shares. We are looking at accessing company data on-line in future meetings. For further details contact Stuart Thompson.
We are a small investment club meeting on the Ruislip/Pinner borders, which would welcome enquiries for membership. Known as ‘BASIC’, we meet one evening each month for two hours. The joining deposit is £100.00 and then monthly subscription, payable by Standing Order, is £30.00.
The UpOurs club has been opperating for the past five years and is seeking 2/3 new members. The club has a joining fee of £100 and fees of only £30 a month. The club is very sociable and we use part of the money we make each year to pay for a Christmas night out. We look forward to welcoming new members.
We are an Oxford-based investment club, which has been running for just over two years. The club began as mostly beginners. We have so far have focussed on research-based investment, and are looking towards learning more about, and possibly trying out, technical analysis methods. We meet once a month in Oxford, usually on a Wednesday day evening in a social environment. Current investment amounts per member range around 35 to 50 pounds a month.

Osterley Club seeking members
I'm in the stages of setting up a new investment club with a good mixture of beginners to advanced. We're based in Osterley. We shall follow both fundamentals and technical analysis in our style of trading.
Our club has been running since 1998 and we meet on the second Monday night of each month at the New Mill Restaurant in Eversleigh Hampshire, near Reading, Crowthorne and Wokingham. Our meetings are based around an excellent two course dinner (£25) and a stable agenda emphasising individual member input. Our proceedings centre firmly on the monthly meeting though all members are on email and the current stock market turmoil has prompted us to delegate more intensive debate to subgroups. Members of any experience are welcome as we consider fun and education almost as important as making money. Investment subs are £25, £50 or £75 monthly. We would particularly welcome more lady members.

We are a long-running all-women's club, based in the Guildford area, currently profitable, looking for new members. Experience would be useful but is not essential - more important are interest, enthusiasm and subscriptions of £30 per month! Lively discussions over wine and nibbles are held monthly in members' homes; summer and winter parties add to the fun.

So far we have enjoyed a modest level of success. We like to keep our investments as diverse as possible and therefore would welcome new members with fresh ideas. Please contact me with a brief resume of your details.
The London Investment Club is still defining its interests, early members will get the chance to shape the direction of the club. They are currently in West London W6 rea but most of their communication will get started over email. Check out their website on. There is no formal meetings, access to a forum and just general chitchat/advice on investing.
The Fiveways Investment Club is still going strong and was recently featured in Radio 4's 'You and Yours'. New to shares at the start, our enthusiasm was not dented by the boom and bust and the portfolio is now going from strength to strength. Keen new members recently joined and we would be very pleased to welcome even more. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month in a pub in Bollington, Cheshire. Experience useful but not essential. Lively discussion guaranteed.

South Wiltshire Investment Club seeks new members
Wolferstan Investment Club loosely based around Salisbury, Wiltshire is looking for new members. The existing membership extends from Amesbury in the north, to Winchester, Eastleigh, the New Forest, and of course Salisbury. Traditionally we meet in each other's homes, but local pubs also provide an occasional venue for our meetings which happen on the second Sunday in each month. Good food and wine and interesting people make a lively forum for arriving at the Club's investment decisions, which are usually interesting too! New members are invited to attend up to three meetings as observers and are invariable made to feel welcome. Calls, emails or letters will always be answered.

Phoenix Investment Club seeks keen new members
If you are keen and interested to join a friendly club, get in touch. We have been in existence over 7 years and are still as enthusiastic as at day one. We now predominantly liaise by email so distance is not a problem. We meet every 2 months and most members have a bite to eat before the meeting. All current members are in profit. But either way we insist on everyone enjoying the ride and gaining experience.
The club has existed since 1998 and as a result of changes in member’s circumstances we are down to 9 members. We meet monthly in a local pub. We have a joining subscription of £100, of which £90 goes into the new member’s funds, and then there is a monthly sub of at least £20.
We are now looking for like minded members. The club is set up to use auto trading programs that are available from various companies. The only stipulation is that the starting capital is quite large so the members would be required to start with £5000.
Wolferstan Investment Club, loosely based around Salisbury, in Wiltshire, is looking for new members. Originally formed from friends and neighbours within Salisbury, we now have members from Amesbury and Nomansland as well as the local area. The club has traditionally met in each others homes, but we do use local pubs as well. Good food, good company and hopefully good investment decisions! Meetings are held on the second Sunday of each month. We would welcome phone calls, emails, whatever, from anyone interested.
